Mission and Vision

Volunteer Tulsa, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, is the provider of volunteer programs and services in eastern Oklahoma. Volunteers play a critical role in the delivery of services of community-based organizations, as well as those of most public service institutions.

Our Mission

Volunteer Tulsa strives to create a volunteer environment that enriches the lives of all area residents while addressing issues and needs within the greater Tulsa community.

Our Vision

Volunteer Tulsa's vision is to be the community's comprehensive resource in volunteerism, by promoting service, building community through effective volunteerism, connecting people with opportunities to serve, mobilizing volunteers, and exhibiting not-for-profit excellence.

Our History

Volunteer Tulsa became an independent organization in 2005 after many years as a program of Community Service Council. Today, Volunteer Tulsa helps volunteers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds connect with opportunities to serve not-for-profit, service, and civic organizations.

How We Do It

Volunteer Tulsa helps volunteers find your passion while supporting community-focused organizations' missions. Exhibiting not-for-profit excellence, Volunteer Tulsa provides professional development, resources and tools for volunteer administrators to most effectively recruit and manage the energy and expertise of unpaid individuals and groups, and for volunteers to track your service/service-learning for resumes, schools, and career advancement as a "service portfolio" or "civic transcript."

Volunteers learn about each other and local hunger and nutrition issues when we come together to serve through Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and neighborhood pantries.
